To a geographer, it should be an interesting conundrum, what is the exact boundary of the Hindu Kush? In the node called Pamir, with a series of parallel ridges, these limits are never ready.
The region is shown in the pictures is what the layman is often called the Hindu Kush, but among geographers and climbers, also known as Hindu Raj. That is, the range is between the left bank of the river valley Yarkhun / Mastuj in the West and North and northern Swat Kohistan basin in the south, is the Hindu Raj. The main range of the Hindu Kush lies to the east and north Yarkhun system / Mastuj / Chitral / Kunar River.
It is fortunate, however, that whatever you call it, is a region containing many valleys that remain relatively intact, relatively unvisited. It contains some of the best trout fishing anywhere, having been stored by the cunning strain Loch Leven brown trout by the British.
Cultural, language mixture is interesting because it contains a mixture of Shina, Burushaski, Khowar, Gujar and Wakhi speakers reflected the complex history of the region. It has been considered in various ways to Chitral, by both the Ul Mulk Kushwaqt and dynasties, Gilgit, Srinagar, Tibet, Persia. The original inhabitants of the eastern valleys appear to have been Burushaski speakers, preserve, as they do, which is considered a purer version of the language compared to spoken in the Hunza region. Yasin Valley, shaking his head, which served as a conduit for China to invade and conquer Tibet held Bolor Minor, is the valley where the explorer / journalist George Hayward was killed, possibly to be a bit of research too. - Text and photos Saltoro batholith

Amazing! There is a song that says "halfway up the Hindu Kush". Really love it! And the pictures, too!
